Project:odd started life in September 2008 as a cluster of research projects by Bob McWhirter. Since then, two main themes have emerged, and the research projects have morphed into bonafide opensource projects, staffed by Red Hat with a fantastic team.

Odd Fellows

Bob McWhirter

Bob started Project:odd (as Odd Thesis)in September 2008. He currently herds the TorqueBox project.

Marek Goldmann

Marek Goldmann joined the Project:odd effort in January 2009. He now leads the development of BoxGrinder. In free time he works on making JBoss AS 7 available in Fedora.

Jim Crossley

Jim joined the Project:odd team in May of 2010.
When he's not blathering on about his prostate or his "sensitive skin", he works on Immutant and TorqueBox.

Ben Browning

Ben joined the Project:odd team in July of 2010. He feels naked without his hat on.

Tobias Crawley

Tobias joined the Project:odd team in August of 2010. He works on TorqueBox and Immutant, and has lots of clever things to say (just not here).

Lance Ball

Lance joined the Project:odd team in September 2010. He's an Ashevillain.

Marc Savy

Marc joined the Project:odd team in October, 2010. He longs for the warm, but lives in the cold of North East England. Marc covers quality concerns across all projects.

His name does not rhyme with "gravy".

Projects

BoxGrinder is toolchain for producing advanced, full-configured virtual machine images in an offline fashion.

Immutant is an application server for Clojure built upon the JBoss AS project.

TorqueBox is a new kind of ruby application environment.

It builds on top of the JBoss AS project to provide vast functionality.
